Plastic Taylor garland packing was developed by a.j.teller in 1954, so it is often called Taylor garland. This kind of packing is made up of many rings. Polypropylene packing has the characteristics of large void ratio, low pressure drop and mass transfer unit height, high flooding point, sufficient vapor-liquid contact, small specific gravity, high mass transfer efficiency, and is mostly used in gas washing and purification tower.
